Food Not Bombs Las Vegas came together for our weekly Free Picnic in the Park at Baker Park on Dec. 27 from 10:30am to 12pm. We had fresh rice, beans, vegetable soup, homestyle potatoes and salad to eat.
It was cold outside and a small group of us; lots of people showed up briefly to get some hot food and then left soon after. About 30 or 35 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizer Kelly was there, as were Gail, Dave, Daniel and Sean. Gail brought the soup, beans, salad and rice, while Daniel and Sean brought juice. We put music on the boombox, did our best to keep warm and talked shop.

Food Not Bombs Las Vegas came together for our weekly Free Picnic in the Park at Baker Park yesterday from 10:30am to 12pm. We had fresh rice, beans, vegetable soup, homestyle potatoes and salad to eat. We also handed out canned food and clothes for the winter.
It was cold outside and a small group of us; lots of people showed up briefly to get some hot food and then left soon after. About 20 or 25 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizer Kelly was there, as were Gail, Dave, Daniel and Sean. Gail brought the soup, beans, salad and rice, while Daniel and Sean brought juice. We put music on the boombox, did our best to keep warm and talked about whatever came to mind.

Food Not Bombs Las Vegas came together for our weekly Free Picnic in the Park at Baker Park yesterday from 10:30am to 12pm. We had fresh potatoes, sweet potatoes, a green bean casserole, rice, chili beans, salad, home fries and banana bread to eat, all of it vegan, plus lots of fruit and juices.
It was cold outside, but warmed up a bit as the day wore on. Some people came for some hot food and left as soon as they were done. Others hung out for a bit. About 20 to 25 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizers Charles and Kelly were there, as were Gail, Daniel and Sean. We put music on the boombox, did our best to keep warm, and talked about anarchist theories and practice on how to defend people’s rights in a free society.

We had fresh banana bread, pineapple and melon, bananas, apples, rice, hot vegetarian chili, vegetable soup, homestyle potatoes, vegan green bean casserole, dinner rolls, and salad to eat.
It was cold outside and a small group of us; lots of people showed up briefly to get some hot food and then left soon after. About 18 or 20 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizers Charles and Kelly were there. Charles brought fresh banana bread, homefries and green bean casserole. Joe brought soup, salad, chili, and rice that Gail had prepared. We put music on the boombox, did our best to keep warm, and talked about anarchist theories and practice on how to defend people’s rights in a free society.

We had fresh banana bread, pumpernickel and baguette bread, watermelon, apples, rice, hot vegetarian chili, homestyle potatoes, vegetable soup, and salad to eat, with orange juice, citrus punch and fruit punch to drink.
It was a chilly day this past Sunday but a big crowd — about 35 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizers Kelly, Charles, Daniel, and Scott were there. Charles and Kelly brought fresh banana bread. Gail had her hot food and famous salad delivered to the park. We put some music on the boombox, tried to keep warm in the chilly morning, and talked about local government and the federal bail-outs.

Food Not Bombs Las Vegas came together for our weekly Free Picnic in the Park at Baker Park today from 10am to 12pm. We had some bread, rice, chili, potatoes, soup, and lots of salad to eat, with orange juice and fruit punch to drink.
It was a gorgeous day out but a smaller picnic than some — about 20 people joined in the meal this week. (Partly because it’s early on the month, I guess.) Food Not Bombs organizer Daniel, Charles, Kelly, and Scott were there. Joe brought out hot food that Gail had made. We put some music on the boombox, talked about immigration freedom and the upcoming Living Without Borders conference at UNLV, and moved forward on plans for beginning a second weekly picnic, on Wednesdays.
Next week many Food Not Bombs organizers will be at the Living Without Borders encuentro, including Kelly (who’s organizing volunteers for a Food Not Bombs Las Vegas outreach table; if you’re interested in volunteering to staff the table on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, contact us to sign up), and Charles (who is presenting a workshop on anarchism, and also coordinating food for the participants at the encuentro). There will be a free Food Not Bombs breakfast and lunch for everyone at the encuentro on Saturday and Sunday.

We had our weekly Food Not Bombs Las Vegas Picnic in the Park at Baker Park today from 10am to 12pm. We had bread, rice, chili, salad, and bananas, with orange juice and fruit punch to drink.
We put some music on the boombox, talked about the city government’s legal maneuvers in cases over their attempts to lock down access to public parks, and talked about the possibility of starting a second weekly picnic. It was a gorgeous day out and a big meal — about 40 people joined in the meal this week. Food Not Bombs organizers Charles, Daniel, Kelly, Dave, Shine, and Nelson were there. Joe brought out hot food that Gail had made, and Gail joined us later during the meal.

Food Not Bombs Las Vegas shared food at our weekly Picnic in the Park at Baker Park from 10am to 11:30am. We had grapes, rice, chili, vegetable soup, salad, and a vegan green bean casserole, with some blueberry scones for dessert. We also had orange juice, fruit punch, and water to drink.
About 40 people came to join us in the meal. Food Not Bombs organizers Charles, Kelly, Scott, and Daniel were there. Joe brought by hot food and salad that Gail had prepared. There was music on the boombox and we enjoyed the weather now that the heat is starting to break.

Joe brought hot food that Gail had prepared. We put on a line-up of music on the boombox, talked about the healthcare debate in Congress, and a couple folks tossed a football around.
